Pacayal Coffee is a company of small producers of the Lenca culture, with an annual production of 17,000 bags of speciality coffee. It was founded in 2014 by Karen and Edgar Carrillo, who lived with many financial limitations, during their childhood and had to start working at the age of 12. They worked hard to complete their studies at university and, since then, they always dreamed of having a company that would help small producers improve their lives and offer their children access to education and a better future. When cupping this lot, we believe it showed us what a coffee from Honduras should truly taste like. With a balance between dark chocolate and mild nut, with a hint of spice, the coffee took us on a sensory journey throughout the tasting.
