Mexican Decaf
Water Process (WP) coffees are produced without the use of any additional chemicals and are meticulously processed with the purest water available. WP is also committed to supporting sustainability initiatives and improving the livelihoods of coffee producers worldwide.
The WP method operates through diffusion rather than osmosis. In the initial stage, green coffee beans are immersed in water until all the caffeine and flavour compounds are fully extracted. Following this, the beans are discarded, and the resulting solution is passed through a carbon filter, which selectively removes the caffeine, leaving only the flavourful compounds behind. WP refers to this remaining substance as its 'green coffee extract' or GCE.
